Cyclocross has gained an enormous following in Australia throughout the past year. Race organisers such as Dirty Deeds CX, Trailmix, Port Adelaide, Illawarra and Ipswich cycling clubs have been doing a tremendous job at growing the scene and it’s only getting bigger.
Another fabulous day of cyclocross racing at the Brunswick Velodrome hosted by DirtyDeeds to complete their series. I have to thank and congratulate Nick, Brendan, Hamish and the rest of the crew who do such a terrific job at organising these events. You’re all doing amazing things for cycling in Australia.
Yes, the 2011 cyclocross season has begun here is Australia. While you folks in the Northern Hemisphere still have a horrible La Niña summer to look forward to, we’re kicking off our first true cyclocross season and this brutal weather makes for perfect cyclocross conditions.
