The Dauphiné was held from Sunday June 5th to 12th and was the 63th edition of the race. It covered 1,065 kilometers and was made up of 1 prologue and 7 stages. Many of the infamous climbs that are featured in the Tour de France are often incorporated into this race. It typically favors strong GC riders, but is never a solid predictor of who will go well in the TdF next month. Bradley Wiggins took the honors of the Dauphiné this year, but he’s known as being inconsistant and even said so himself that his surprise 4th place in the 2009 Tour de France “was a fluke“.

My good mate Veeral Patel had been shooting the Dauphiné last week and here is a gallery of the highlights. If anyone has any media or agency contacts to help Veeral get some paid work for the Tour de France, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. He’s over there working his heart out and after 11,000km’s of driving and over $15k of costs, I fear that his dream will pass. Any help from anyone with some connections would be greatly appreciated (this is me asking, not Veeral).
