    Just a thought on reverse periodization: it would assume that you have a significant base of fitness already (from previous seasons, cross training and such) to be able to execute quality interval work without ending up injured or burned out.

    It’s also pretty easy to overtrain such intervals early in the season. Whoever is reverse periodizing should be really careful and able to control themselves to not overdo it.
