During this edition of the Tour de France I’ve had the luxury of travelling with Bikestyle Tours which makes this “working holiday” much easier, more fun, and I get a lot more riding in. We’re fortunate to have former professional rider Colin Lewis as one of our guides who has tales that you and I will only read in the history books.
On the eve of stage 15 where the Tour finishes on Mont Ventoux after 242 kilometers, Colin takes us through that terrible day when he and Tom Simpson woke up ready to race and only one of them came home.
