Sagan - will he win a Monument?

By Cor Vos on March 24, 2013

Peter Sagan won Gent-Wevelgem yesterday against a top-notch field, but is he experienced enough to beat the likes of Cancellara and Boonen in Flanders or Roubaix and guys like Gilbert in the Ardennes? In 2012 Sagan came fifth in the Tour of Flanders and third in the Amstel Gold Race. One year later, how do you think he'll go?

The answer is yes. He’s got all the horse power, and obviously he can read a race. If he can be that strong in SR in those conditions, he not lacking the durability that normally takes people years to build. If he follows the tradition of other freaks of nature he’ll win a lot of big things under a week long, maybe by his late 20′s he’ll mature into grand tour winning form.

Fingers crossed he doesn’t test positive. I want to believe.
