Solo ride into the mist

Pleasant 16 km climb with gentle gradients of 4-5% greets the riders before the onslaught of Genting Highlands, the so called "Beast of the East". Gradients in the last 8 km exceed 10% in most areas with > 20% grades in the switchbacks. Coupled with the humidity, threat of torrential rain Procycling (the magazine) rates it the 5th hardest climb in the world.
