The Col de la Croix (1778m) connects the Rhone Valley to the ski resort of Les Diablerets, in the French speaking part of Switzerland. It climbs 1300m in 18km and will feature in the queen stage of the 2013 Tour de Romandie. In winter, the top part, starting from Villars-sur-Ollon (1250m), is closed to traffic.     Best to climb it from Bex to Villars then the Col. Hard climb, but gorgeous views!
