Hamilton & Contador as witnesses during Operación Puerto trial

Operación Puerto trial is currently on going in Madrid involving Dr. Eufemiano Fuente will invite Tyler Hamilton and Alberto Contador to give their testimonies. Hamilton will be providing details of his collaboration with Dr Fuente as stipulated in his autobiography, The Secret Race. On the other hand Contador will be providing testimony to validate the facts provided so far by Manolo Saíz (former Team ONCE and Liberty Seguros owner) that Dr Fuente was not working directly with Liberty Seguros when the raids undertaken by Spanish police in 2006. Last week, former Spanish cyclist, Jesus Manzano, told the Spanish court during the Puerto trial that he was given blood booster EPO and other banned substances by Dr Fuente. Fuentes has been charged with his sister Yolanda and three other defendants from cycling teams in connection with a blood doping racket, with dozens of suspects in cycling and possibly other sports. Hamilton will be testifying on Tuesday afternoon via a satellite link from the Spanish Embassy in Washington D.C and Contador will be providing his testimony in person on Friday in Madrid.
