Armstrong Stripped of Olympic Medal

Couple of days ago Lance Armstrong was informed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that he has been stripped of the bronze medal he had won during the Individual Time Trial event at the 2000 Sydney Olympic games. The decision to strip Armstrong of the bronze medal was made on the basis of the recent USADA report as well as the UCI nullifying Armstrong's competitive cycling results including his seven Tour de France titles. Furthermore, the IOC has requested that Armstrong return the bronze medal and certification he had received during the Games. Additionally, the IOC has not made a decision if the bronze medal will be awarded to the fourth place finisher, Abraham Olano (Spain)
