If you have 46 minutes to spare this weekend this documentary style film of the 2012 Haute Route is well worth the watch. It follows 600 amateur cyclists and their 780km journey from Geneva to Nice over 19 Alpine cols and 21,000m total ascent, in the World's Highest and Toughest cyclosportive. Another one to put on your bucket list.
Great find Wade, Looks too hard for me.. But would love to do this one day!

A beautifully-produced account of a stunning race. It’s certainly on my list. Thanks Wade!

Inspiring stuff- was Prost really unwell, or was he bundled into a dark van by the velominati for the many fashion transgressions?
Disgraceful!

Lovely film and it almost makes me want to sing up for this in say 2014. I know this is marketing material, but I do find it a bit odd that they didn’t even mention the death of one of the riders. Not even in the credits.

Could you share a bit of insight on what actually happened?

apparently a rider lost control on a steep descent and fell into a ravine. he didn’t wake up.
obviously they’re not going to put that in the promotional material.

This is my dream event. Done Etape 3 times now, this, and the Maratona, are next.
