(2012) - John Woodman Memorial - Wagga to Albury
Well it was another successful race with another local winner, in the form of Rhys Pollock. Riding into a mild head wind, Second Limit caught Limit just out of Culcairn and Scratch caught Block just after Morgans Lookout. Up the climb past Walla Walla a number of scratch riders managed to breakaway from their bunch and they were joined by some of the stronger Second Limit riders on the way into Jindera. The scratch riders were unable to drop the Second Limit riders over Jindera Gap and it came down to a small bunch sprint of a dozen riders.
The success of the Albury Wodonga Cycling Club continued with Lisa Barry taking the prize for the first female prize.
Thanks to all the car drivers, corner marshals, commissaires and race committee members and SES & St Johns Ambulance members. And supporters McDonalds, The Full Cycle, Enlake, Hume Building Society, Quantum Printing, Culcairn Foodworks and TrafficKing.
