Interbike Day 3 | A Tour of the Floor

Day 3 of Interbike opened today and the vibe was pretty subdued. Some booths were starting to pack up, the reps were tired and so were we (especially CT who was rather rusty after coming home at 4am after the Cyclingnews party), so we wandered about and snapped some pics to give you a feel for the place.

-
The quality of the booths was extraordinary in some cases. Here’s the Jelly Belly “shop”.
-
-
Super Mario was working the floor again and had no trouble pulling a crowd.
-
-
The Italia booth was a conglomerate of several brands such as Willier, Castelli, Cipollini, and Columbus and featured a cafe near the centre.
-
-
This shot captures about one-quarter of the SRAM booth. They had plenty of staff on hand to handle pitch products from their group (Zipp, Avid, Rock Shox, SRAM) and handle questions from nosey tech writers.
-
-
Some booths had meeting rooms on platforms. The CST/Maxxis booth was massive and provided a comfortable environment for the reps to close their sales.
-
-
THis is one-third of the Shimano booth looking over some of the display bikes towards the tech desk.
-
-
As we wandered out to the fringes of the floor, we started to encounter booths like this one. Different strokes for different folks.
-
-
Interbike caters for everybody. This one’s for the kids out there.
-
-
Swiftwick, a sock company, was offering free tattooing so long as you were prepared to wear one of their logos.
-
-
Fizik had a few of their saddles on display.
-
-
A restored BMX bike from the mid-80s finished off with gold-plating.
-
-
The BMX bikes were grouped together in one corner of the floor and near the centre was this display of old school freestyle bikes.
-
-
Just one of the many collections of fixed-gear bikes on show, and probably one of the more subdued colourways too.
-
-
CT putting his body on the line to get the perfect picture. I’m not sure, but he seemed to spend a pretty long time talking to the podium girl about the trophy after he got the shot.
