Rodriguez On Top

The top four Vuelta contendors stuck together until the end of stage 6 but it was Joaquim Rodriguez who showcased his increadible uphill kick in last few hundred meters to win the stage. He easily overtook Froome who had opened up the sprint. Valverde crossed the line in third and Contador fourth. Rodriguez retains his overall lead, taking the winner's bonus seconds as well as time on all three of his rivals.
