Valverde takes Vuelta lead

Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) won stage 3 of the Vuelta a España after an exciting 155km of racing. It looked as if Rodriguez had the stage win but Valverde kicked past him in a photo finish. It's only three days in and we've already hit some big bergs in smeltering heat. Valverde, winner of the Vuelta in 2009, took the the overall lead from his teammate Jonathan Castroviejo after he cracked the final climb.
