Col du Tourmalet

By Wade Wallace on July 14, 2011

Stage 16, a 197 kilometers long is one of the toughest in the whole race. The riders will tackle two HC climbs; Col du Tourmalet and the Col d’Aubisque as well as two category one climbs; Col d’Aspin and the Col de Peyresourde. The final part of the stage is a tough 15.5km descent into Bagnères-de-Luchon.

It was 14 July – we stole it while the French were busy celebrating.
Watch out on 26 January, though. Revenge theft of Sydney Harbour is being planned.
