Win A Trip For 2 To BMC’s 2013 Training Camp From 2XU

Last week 2XU has launched an online competition, #iTRAIN2, to coincide with the 99th Tour de France. From June 18 to July 22, 2XU’s #iTRAIN2 competition offers cycling enthusiasts and everyday athletes alike, an opportunity to win a trip for two as VIP guests, to the 2013 BMC Training Camp in Santa Rosa, California. If riding with BMC for three days sounds like something you'd like to do, then read on.

The BMC Training Camp grand prize includes return flights and transfers to Santa Rosa, California USA, three nights luxury accommodation, two 2XU Elite Compression Packs and an itinerary of VIP experiences.

In addition to the BMC Training Camp, other great Prizes are up for grabs including a BMC Roadracer SL01, a signed kit, limited edition BMC Racing Team photography and plenty of 2XU Compression gear.

Hosted on facebook.com/2XUAustralia and 2XU.COM/itrain2, #iTRAIN2 is open to anyone across Australia and the United States, and asks entrants to respond to the question ‘Why do you train?’ in 140 characters or less. Enter here.

To help encourage entrants’ creativity, 2XU has produced an #iTRAIN2 video offering glimpses into the psyche of elite Pro Tour cyclists as well as weekend warriors.

Entries will be judged from July 23-25 and winners will be announced no later than midnight Friday July 27, 2012.

Wade if you know the 2XU guys, they might like to fix: their country drop down on their entry page only has the US. The comp is open to Aussies and US residents. This means Aussies HAVE to choose US as country of residence in order to enter.
Whether that will cause issues with winner selection or winner redemption of prize…

Hey Tim - double check you’re actually on the Australian site of 2XU.COM when you’re entering. You can do so by looking at the very top of the page. The United States drop down will only appear when you’re on the US site. Simply change the flag to Australian and you shouldn’t have any issues!

Before you enter, consider the following from the T&Cs:

All eligible Entries will be judged and scored based on the following criteria: 1) 1-10 points for originality; 2) 1-10 points for creativeness; and 3) 1-10 points for emotional appeal (“Judging Criteria”). Like Bonus Points and Message Share Bonus Points (collectively, “Bonus Points”) will also be tallied and added to each contestant’s score, if applicable.

Bonus Points: There are two (2) ways for contestants to receive additional points: by liking the Sponsor’s Facebook Website (“Like Bonus Points”) and by sharing the Contest via a message within the Facebook platform (“Message Share Bonus Points”).

Like Bonus Points will result in ten (10) points. Message Share Bonus Points will result in one (1) point for every Facebook friend that enters the Contest with a maximum of ten (10) points. Like Bonus Points can only be claimed one (1) time.

In other words, don’t forget to “like” their page if you’re entering and make sure that everyone you know enters too (ideally noncyclists/family since it isn’t clear from the rules whether two people can claim the entry points for one mutual friend).

Anyone who disables Facebook Platform on privacy & security grounds (like myself) can forget it.
