Gino the Pious - 4 days till the Giro

Gino Bartali also known by the nickname Gino the Pious was one of Italy's most celebrated cyclists. Gino had his first win of the Giro title in 1936 as well as winning numerous other prestigious races including Tour de France on two occasions. Recently, he was awarded the honour of "Righteous Among the Nations" by the State of Israel for his war time humanitarian efforts for the assistance in saving the lives of hundreds of Italian Jews during the second World War.
