Pictured here is Gianni Bugno during the 1990 edition of Giro d'Italia which he had dominated from the start to till the end. In addition to to winning the Maglia Rosa in 1990 he had won the Milan San Remo title as well as earning the rainbow strips for the World Road Championships in 1991. Furthermore, during Gianni's early career as an amateur racer in the mid 80s, one of his former team members is now world renowned Japanese cycling photographer, Yuzuru Sunada.

      Thanks for the correction, it was 1991 he picked up the Worlds title.
