Dwars door Vlaanderen

Pictured on far right(#65) is Belgian Rik Van Steenbergen who won the first edition of Dwars door Vlaanderen (Race Across Flanders) when the race started in 1945. The race is always held on a Wednesday,just prior to the start of Ronde van Vlaanderen. Rik Van Steenbergen also won the Belgian National title and World Championships on three occasions amongst other notable victories.
