Monsieur Chrono & Eternal Second
By Unknown on March 8, 2012
One of the narrowest victories in the history of Paris Nice race has been a margin of six seconds which was in 1972 between overall winner Raymond Poulidor (pictured right) and second place, Eddy Merckx. Furthermore, Raymond during his career was caught between two dominant riders; Jacques Anquetil (pictured left) and Eddy Merckx. Jacques has won Paris Nice twice and became the first rider to win Tour de France on five consecutive occasions.
