- Here is a entry on behalf of a mate of mine Gary Gross. If you use it please credit it as garygross.com.au. -Matthew
- Last week Ryder Hesjedal was in town (outside of St. Louis, Missouri, USA), after the Canadian Pro Tour races visiting his fiance’s family. My university’s cycling team got invited to go on a bunch ride with him. So it was just him and us cruising along, chatting it up. Once in a lifetime experience. Taken from my mate Chev’s Iphone 3GS. -Travis
- This was taken on Thursday morning about 5.30am at our half way point of Sandgate in Brisbane’s North Eastern suburbs. We do this ride a couple of times a week and I never get tired of it. Along with the ride it’s self and the company, it’s this that gets me up at 4.30am, knowing how knackered I will feel latter that day while at work. I then think of that mornings ride and power through the arvo looking forward to the next sunrise on the bike. The photos were taken on my rather ordinary Nokia 6120 phone. -Sam
- Was at a Cyclo Sportif this weekend, teams of between 4 and 9 do a participation event (race for some) over several different courses throughout the year. This was a 79km ride with 1300m of elevation gain and decent. We had a team of 7 including one girl. The idea is for the whole team to make it to the end. I think this sums up the philosophy of Cyclo Sportif. Two of the guys are helping our one female up one of the steeper sections of the climbs to make sure we all stick together. –Xponti
- Spring beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco. Taken with an iPhone 3GS and edited with iPhoto. -Mike

- Early Morning Scarborough – taken from the northern tip of Redcliffe looking out over Deception Bay/Moreton Bay. -Shaun
- Not sure if I can top the Chick in Bed photo but if you are not in it then you cannot win it. This is a photo taken on the Friday Morning of the U23′s race. We were looking at the course when I noticed a young fellow on a “Push” bike on the Esplanade. This is the future of our cycling. -Jeff
- From my HTC Desire, on a Vancouver-Inuvik tour down the other side into BC en route to Carcross. This has to be one of the world’s best one day rides; one of our guys hit a PB of 83km/h -Wendy

- Raphalicious. Taken on HTC Desire. Edited – Nik Silver Efex Pro – Leigh Schilling

- Funny day here in Adelaide today….The GF who quite frankly is now cycling mad, and first sat on a bike in March!…. Get’s off work early (3pm) so we can do some sneaky hill repeats up Mount Lofty! Well on the last climb of the day I took this spooky shot of the clouds rolling in. 8 deg c and its nearly Oct!!!! She gets strange looks at work now, when she runs the line ” SHUT UP LEGS! ” I have created a climbing monster!!! oh the pain of a 52kg chick on a 6.2kg bike that gets massively better with every ride…. “Cevi” her trusty Cervelo takes her to all the cool spots! and as if by accident, she pretty much follows all of the “RULES” . Arandom act was some dude coming up later with a cycling tips jersey!!! cool!!! So with the 5 min stop for a double macchiato we were off to bomb down the eagle once more… -Ben
- “8:00am: The start of a spontaneous ride in Marysville one weekend with a group of friends. Was about 3 degrees when we set off for a 120km round trip. Weather was fantastic; so was the ride” (Photo taken with Nokia 6500) -Andy
- On holidays in Newcastle, my wifes cousin took me out on some beater Mtb’s to give me my first taste of trails and offroad -Ash
- Crashing is sometimes unavoidable -Adam
- Sefor hill climb Stickler, Arkansas. Taken with iPhone4. -Alan
- I took after Sundays road race with my samsung wave phone. I just like the photo because is shows the absolute delight on the face of Alan Davis and who I presume are his Father and Mother about to give him a big hug. -Gary
- Taken on iPhone 3G (no modification), at timing station 1km from finish of elite men’s time trial at Worlds. Richie Porte going into warp speed trying to catch Martin. -Christian
- Sunrise over Moreten Island – taken last week (when it wasn’t raining) from Suttons Beach at Redcliffe (just north of Brisbane) looking out over Moreton Bay toward Moreton Island. -Shaun
- Ride home looking dicey -Iain
- Snapped this one of my mate Az while we were having a quick stop. Seems to sum up that content feeling we all love while out on a great ride. Chittering Valley, W.A. / Hipstamatic for iPhone. -Rado
- All I got was an excuse of a flat tyre. I say HTFU. This is what you missed this morning, just a “little” bit of pain on Yarra St -Simon
- Last week I spent 3 days on my MTB on the slopes of Mont Ventoux. We rode 4 different MTB trails in 3 days and it was FANTASTIC!! I have several photo’s I really like, but unfortunately I can only enter one for the competition. Tough choice! -Wim
- Last weekend, I got to achieve two of my cycling dreams. Firstly, to ride the Great Ocean Road; and secondly, to attend a World Championships. Both were beyond my expectations. Just brilliant. Attached are two pics, one looking towards Apollo Bay from the Cape Patton Lookout; and one taken upon arrival at Apollo Bay for breakfast. They’re not the best pics I’ve ever taken but they were taken on what was probably one of the greatest days I’ve ever spent on a bike. A near religious experience. A perfect sunny day, climbs no steeper than 6%, hardly any wind, great company and views that took your breath away. :-) -Nicholas

International Competitor Prizes
I’m very fortunate that you visit CyclingTips and I’m keen for you to be involved with this competition. After all, you’re the ones getting the summer weather and providing the inspiration for us! I’m sure you understand that most of the sponsors of CyclingTips have specific interests in marketing to cyclists in the region (marketing for the various parts of the world falls into different distributor’s budgets).
However, for the International competitors I’m happy to put up a Cycling Tips jersey and knicks to provide some incentive. Sorry, but I only have limited sizes left, but hopefully it will work out.
More World Championships
In case you didn’t your fill of the World Championships over the past couple weeks, there’s another big event going on this weekend – the 24hr Mountain Biking World Championships. Normally I wouldn’t be too interested in this event because, let’s face it, all the competitors are absolute nutbars. There’s no way I could relate. However, my good mate Brad is competing and I know how hard he’s trained for this. Let me tell you – he’s ready. He makes the rides that I’ve been doing this winter look like a joke.
Brad’s faithful assistance will be twittering updates, so if you’re interested you should follow him. Good luck Brad and the rest of you crazy mountain bikers!
