I have no interest in becoming a cyclingnews or velonews and don’t plan on changing the theme of this blog. I simply love great photography and think it’s relevant to talk about Pro cycling from time to time. I also think it would be great to show more of the Aussie cyclists strutting their stuff in big races over in Europe.  (If you want to read a fantastic pro cycling blog head over to Cyclocosm.  He does an excellent “How The Race Was Won” feature after the big races).

Here’s a sample of Stefano’s work from last Sunday’s Paris Roubaix. I hope you enjoy Sirotti’s high quality photos as much as I do.

The Forest of Arenberg

Local Melbourne boy Mitch Docker playing an active part and getting an awesome 47th place.  Well done Mitch!

Adopted Melbournian Koen de Kort had a nasty crash that put him out of the race. Get well soon Koen

yep..Spartacus is right behind you Tom

Aussies CJ and Gossy active in the break

Saxo Bank at the front chasing the break

My dream is to be in the crowd watching this race one day.  Actually, I’d prefer racing it, but that’s not going to happen…

Spartacus was unstoppable and rode like 10 men

Can he hold his form for Liège-Bastogne-Liège?

If video is more your thing, here’s a good highlight package with Phil calling the race:
